The View

I never get tired of the view out our front window. Pico looks very white and cold. We have had snow flurries on and off all day but now it's clearing up.

The Beautiful Girls

I was having a conversation with Andrew last night about ordering more chickens for this spring. These are some of our girls that are no longer with us. I think they are beautiful.
This spring we are ordering Rhode Island Reds and Black Australorps. Enjoy the picture Andrew!

Break down week

Not only did the coffee maker quit, but the camera is broken and I damaged the van by hitting a curb too hard at Stewarts on Thursday. Hopefully next week will be better.

Hard at work

Here is Jonathan working on his math paper. From the picture it's hard to tell if he's awake or asleep. You can get a little drowsy when the sun shines in on you from the south window. Study hard Jonathan!!!

Death of a Friend

This coffee maker has served us well through many cups of coffee and over two years. We had coffee from it this morning, but this evening no coffee could be made. The light was on but no coffee. It's a good thing we have a back-up .

The End of the Visit

After a two week visit Andrew returned to VA. We had a great time but saying good-bye is always hard.

Happy New Year (a few days late)

We had a great New Year celebration this year. It was made even better because Andrew was able to spend two weeks with us. The usual fare was served: lasagna, tossed salad, and bread with assorted cookies for dessert. Our visitors came from as far as Georgia and Virginia. Our total count this year was 94 people. No wonder we had no left over lasagna! Thanks to all who came and made it a memorable time.
