............................................

Here are a few more pictures of our trip to see Andrew.

One of the ships in the Naval yard.

I miss those hugs!

A trip to Norfolk

Kevin and I took a trip to see Andrew in Norfolk, VA. We went to visit, but also to bring his new car to him. We had a great time with him and saw some of the sights in the area. We spent one whole day walking Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and part of Yorktown. My legs were very weary by the end of the day.

The Chesapeake Bay Tunnel/Bridge is massive and awesome.

The shrubs were beautiful. We also saw tulips and daffodils in bloom!

We had a great time just walking around Williams burg, VA. The air was crisp, but spring-like.

It was good to see Andrew and get a few hugs in. Thanks to all who prayed for us while we traveled and continue to pray for Andrew.

The sound of music

This is the time of year when there is much practicing for recitals. It can get a little overwhelming with piano, violin, and guitar all being played at once, especially when there are four girls practicing violin. It is all worth it in the end.

The Green Thumb

Kevin has been busy planting vegetable seeds for the garden. Here are some pepper plants that are growing well. The green house isn't open yet, but will be soon.

Chick Day!!!

Our 40 baby chicks arrived at 6:30 this morning. They are very noisy with all their peeping and chirping. The chicks with dark stripes are Araucanas and the light brown chicks are R. I. Reds.
The Araucanas lay pretty, light blue or green eggs.

It doesn't take them long to find the food and water.

They are so cute now, but within a few days
they will start growing feathers. It will be at
least six months before they lay any eggs.

Mud Season in VT

Jonathan and I walked down to get the Sunday
paper this morning. I decided to snap a few pictures of the spring thaw in all it's beauty. Ha! Ha!

Potholes are plentiful. This is a fairly small one at
the bottom of our driveway.

Our parking spaces are slightly muddy. You can see the ruts left by the last car to park here.

Not only do we have mud, but clay also right in
the middle of our drive. A few years ago a UPS
truck got stuck in this very spot. It took my
brother on a large John Deere tractor to pull
him out.

Maple sugaring season

We took a walk up the road tonight to visit my
father's sugar house. They have boiled three
times so far this spring. It's a lot of work, but
well worth it. Maple syrup is the best!

Kevin's little helpers

Kevin was cutting wood on Monday, and Jonathan
and Hannah were helping Nathanael fill the tractor bucket with the wood.

Jonathan looks like a real logger.

Hannah and Jonathan found a patch of green grass to play on after the work was done.

Ice Fields

Otter Creek has flooded twice so far this year.
The result is an ice covered field. It's fun listening to the ice crack as the water recedes.
Pico still looks very cold in the background.

Ice Everywhere

It had been raining all day, when I looked
out the window and saw the ice on the trees.
It actually looks very pretty, but I wouldn't want
to be out in it.

Bad Hair Day!

I wasn't going to post these pictures at first, but I changed my mind. These are fun pictures!

Donation Day!

Sarah and Elisabeth decided to donate their hair again.
We made an appointment for Wednesday with Beanie.
She did a great job. Now all we have to do is send it away.

Snip! Snip!

Does your head feel lighter, Sarah?

Elisabeth's red hair will look very nice on another young person.

Measuring 11 inches.

How does it look, Andrew?
Hannah's hair wasn't quite long enough.
She'll do the same thing in the summer.
