Saturday Morning Work!

Hannah, Jonathan, and Sarah (not in the picture) are helping grind up beef into hamburg. Sarah was packaging the meat for the freezer. It is so nice to have helpers!

A Hazy Summer Day in Vermont

Jonathan and Kevin went to get some wood this evening with the tractor and trailer. Jonathan was so excited to be able to drive the tractor. With his older brothers away from home, he is enjoying some big boy privileges. Watch out for the van, Jonathan!
A job well done.

Celtics are NBA Champions!!!

A good year so far!

Our garden seems to be doing well this year. We ate beet greens for supper last night. The lettuce and broccoli are also producing.

While watering my flower boxes the other day, I noticed a mound of dirt that shouldn't be there. After investigating further, I found a little rodent tunnel or hole in my flower box.
Kevin and I removed the flowers and dirt but didn't find anything. We will wait and see if our little friend returns.

Go Red Sox!!!!!

The favorite Red Sox player at this time is Jacoby Ellsbury. Don't try to convince her otherwise!

Violin Recital

Hannah, Elisabeth, and Sarah performed in their violin recital on Friday afternoon. All the girls did very well. We were able to take videos of them playing for those of you who missed the recital. Rachel missed out because she's in California.

They're off!!!

Nathanael and Rachel have left for California and will be gone for three months. They left this morning from Albany, NY, but the plane sat on the runway for 45 minutes. This caused them to miss their connection to LA at JFK in NY. Thankfully, they are now on a later flight to LA and will only be two hours later than scheduled. Bless you, Josh and Sarah, for rearranging your plans to pick them up. Thank you!

.........................................

We found this turtle on our lawn this afternoon. Kevin traced its path back through the garden where it had done some damage to the weed block. We thought maybe the turtle was a female looking for a place to lay eggs. It's the first time we've had a turtle invade the garden.

Go Celtics!!!

Jonathan was wrapped in Celtic green while watching the Celtics/Lakers game. He fell asleep before halftime.

Just one of the reasons I love Vermont.
You can't see it very well, but this is a tree frog above our porch window. He was very loud.

Hannah's flowers

We went to a greenhouse last week and picked out some flowers with Grandma Billings. Hannah chose these flowers for her planter. She did a great job.
