After arriving home from church on Sunday, we saw a big cat just a short distance from the house behind the woodshed. It looked similar to a lynx and was easily as big as a medium size dog. Kevin and the kids took pictures and measured the paw prints. The distance between the prints was about 22 inches. Big cat! Sorry. We weren't able to get a picture of the cat with my cell phone.Sunday, February 17, 2008

Wow! Very impressive! I wonder if you can make a plaster cast in the snow.
Two parts plaster of paris to two parts cold water. Stir until it has a smooth even texture. Surround the tracks with a form of some sort and poor the plaster solution inno the form covering the tracks completely. It takes a approximately one 1/2 hour to set.
That is a big track, I wonder if it could have been a Catamount?
I meant two parts plaster to one part water.
Thanks Josh. By the time we received your post it was dark and about to rain. Of course it rained all night and most of today. Now they are all gone. Thanks for the tips though!
Andrew. Your father spoke with Mr. Harvey and he said there have been a number of lynx sightings in northern VT and NH. We don't know for sure because of the distance from the house, but we do know it was fairly large.
That's cool.It was probably just a mutant housecat.
Funny! Funny!
Did you count your chickens???
Yes, we did! They were all there.
