Our 40 baby chicks arrived at 6:30 this morning. They are very noisy with all their peeping and chirping. The chicks with dark stripes are Araucanas and the light brown chicks are

R. I. Reds.
The Araucanas lay pretty, light blue or green eggs.

It doesn't take them long to find the food and water.

They are so cute now, but within a few days
they will start growing feathers. It will be at
least six months before they lay any eggs.

The Post Office must have been glad when you arrived to take possession of that package of peepers! A perfect event for the week when Spring arrives. They look very cute. . .don't let the bobcat know they are at your house. . .how do your cats like them?
Our cats don't bother with them, but we also don't give them the chance! Cats aren't allowed near them for a while.
