Vacation in Maine

We spent a restful vacation in Maine this past week. We walked the beach, biked to Nubble Light, bought our favorite candy at York, and tried to keep warm! It was a little on the chilly side. Some of the younger kids went into the water, but I only got my feet wet. The campfire was a favorite spot. HEAT!

Putting up the tarp in case of rain, but none came.

This is our 1965 Nimrod pop-up camper. Kevin and his family used to go camping in it. We have joked about how ugly it is, but it sure is dependable. Our other camper is a 2004.

Cold Atlantic Ocean!

The pickup is filled with 8 bicycles and 6 boxes of fire wood.

Hannah having fun.

Looks absolutely wonderful and the crowds are gone! Getting wet is highly overrated! In one of Rachel's pictures Hannah looks so much like you Carla! The picture of the loaded truck is priceless. Where were the coolers of food! You must need a vacation to get over vacation.

We brought out one cooler of food. We tend to bring breakfast and lunch food and buy meat for supper at the local Hannaford store, which is only about 10 minutes away. We try to keep things simple to cut down on the work. It was a very restful vacation. I loved it. The only thing I would have changed is Andrew would have been there. Maybe another time.
